Travis Mccoy Splits With Katy Perry Uses Main Source Lyrics
Known for his passion for both Rap and Rock, Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes demonstrated his Hip Hop side in an oddly personal moment yesterday.
First reported by Celebuzz.com, McCoy and Pop sensation girlfriend Katy Perry called it quits after a two-year relationship Friday.
The couple had brought in the new year in Mexico, with plenty of reported festivities. Just one week after the New York Daily News' gossip section swirled with engagement rumors, the couple called it quits.
Although no statements have yet to be released by either party to the media, anonymous sources close to the couple confirmed rumors.
McCoy, however, did come close. On his blog, the rapper and singer quoted Large Professor's lyrics from the famed Hip Hop break-up song "Looking At The Front Door".
The 1991 song, from the seminal album, Breaking Atoms, features the classic lyrics, which McCoy quoted to tell fans and media the root of the split.
"We fight every night, now that's not kosher
I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer
And wake up to be greeted by an argument again
You act like you're ten
So immature, I try to concentrate on a cure
And keep lookin' at the front door..."
McCoy has since added further information on his blog, claiming, "My Laptop is my new bitch. LOYAL. LISTENS. and NEVER LET’S ME DOWN."
